Oh christmas tree!

Although i have finished my christmas cards for this year (and i made a lot of them) when i read about challenge me monday #88 ( Holiday Card) of Fantabulous Cricut i couldn't resist so i made one more!
When i started i had in mind to make a card with Santa! The cartridge Paper Dolls had an adorable Santa and it was an opportunity to cut one. Then i cut a cristmas tree and i liked it so much that i cut another and another and another...My whole desk was full of trees like a forest. Then i embossed the trees and painted them with distress ink (peeled paint i love this green so much!!!)As i was trying to figure out the layout of the card i thought that a good idea would be to make with distress inks the backround without using any pattern paper. So i made a "broken china" sky and a "crushed olive" ground. As i was looking the Santa i realised that the blue-green colors weren't exactly the most matching backround for a red-brown-white old fellow...but i was in love with my christmas trees and i had to use them! So as i was browsing the handbook of paper dolls cartridge i found a cute green elf that was perfect for my card. I finished my card with a sentiment stamped on vellum , 2 brads and a substantial amount of stickles!
This card took me a lot of time and effort so i decided to keep it and decorate my library with it. What i like most to this card is that it is a holiday card without any red! So what do you think, do you like my entry???

Thank's for stopping by!
ps: my elf is rather handicapped...his one hand wasn't cut properly but as i had run out of flesh color cardstock to cut a new one (and the bookstore was closed...) i decided to use the crippled one. Everybody after all must have equal opportunities ;) even elfs!
